The reason we took pictures at the temple was because they only let you drop off your missionary on the curb of the MTC. There were so many other missionaries and their families at the temple doing the same thing we were. We love to do sessions on Wednesday - just so we can see the
finally exchanges between new missionaries and their families!

We hugged goodbye and then I said, "Hurray for Zion". Then Kristi held up her right hand and said, "Hooray for Is-ra-el!"
Juliette texted Tami some of the pictures we took and Tami without knowing what we had just said in parting texted her back, "Hooray for Israel!"
A tender mercy for us all!
9 Deer in our Back Yard
This is right out our kitchen window. We have so much snow that the deer are coming down to find anything they can to eat. What fun to get to see them so close!
Garvin Humor with Port-a-Potty
This year we gave each of the kids a port-a-potty made out of one of our recycled wheat buckets.
Craig told the kids that we had a very "moving" present for them. :-) After we gave it to them I told them that I wanted to get a picture of them showing a little appreciation for this great gift.

It is not necessary to have attended the 1st Semester of the Book of Mormon in order to attend the 2nd Semester

BABYSITTING: A child's class (not sponsored by the church or institute) is available at the nearby Ruth Street Chapel. A small charge of $3.00 for 1 child and $5.00 for 2 or more will be payable at the door. Please drop your child off between 9:00 and 9:15 a.m so you can get to class on time. DRESS: Causal - pants or skirts are fine.
WHAT TO BRING: Bring your scriptures, paper and pen and a desire to learn. Be prepared to participate in lively class discussions as we share with each other how to more effectively apply important Book of Mormon principles into our daily lives.
PARKING: Parking is limited and so it would nice if you could carpool to the institute with other you know. The gate code for the parking lot at the institute is 3463*.
ATTENDANCE: All adults are welcome. (So are babies). Please feel free to come and go to any class your schedule will allow. Each class focuses on specific doctrines and can help uplift you even for a day.

6. A commitment to stand as a witness of God at all times and in all
things and in all places
7. A determination to serve him
8. A determination to keep his commandments

The Parable of the Popcorn
LIKENING POPCORN UNTO US
Behold at the time of harvest the ears of corn did bring forth kernels which were dried and prepared for the popper's hand. And then it was that the popper did take the kernels, all of which appeared alike unto him, and did apply the oil and the heat.
And it came to pass that when the heat was on some did explode with promise and did magnify themselves an hundred fold, and some did burst form with whiteness which did both gladden the eye and satisfy the taste of the popper. And likewise, some others did pop, but not too much.
But lo, there were some that did just lie there and even though the popper's heat was alike unto all, they did bask in the warmth of the oil and kept everything they had for themselves.
And so it came to pass that those which had given of themselves did bring joy and delight to many munchers, but those which kept of the warmth and did not burst forth were fit only to be cast out into the pail and were thought of with hardness and disgust.
And thus we see that in the beginning all appear alike, but when the heat is on, some come forth and give their all, while others fail to pop and become as chaff to be discarded and forgotten.
